We believe golf is more than a weekly game—it's a chance to make a difference in our community.
We support local efforts that honor and assist veterans through fundraising and community awareness. Our current effort is recycling aluminum cans to raise funds which are donated to assist with shipping costs when sending Christmas or hygiene kits to deployed military personnel. Club members also help with VLSV outreach efforts at the Walla Walla Veterans Home, Jonathan M. Wainwright Memorial VA Medical Center, and the Walla Walla Senior Center.
Club members agree that young golfers need to be cultivated to grow the sport at the Veterans Memorial Golf Course by encouraging confidence, sportsmanship, and a lifelong love of golf. We raise funds for youth golf lessons and equipment.
Each season we look for ways to help brighten the holidays for local students and families. Members can participate through optional giving and seasonal fundraising efforts.
